Design Within Reach presents works by Adrian Kay Wong in collaboration with NYC gallery Uprise Art. Wong is a California-based artist who presents encapsulated moments that focus on the intimate, familiar, and human connection. His paintings are distinctively personal through the portrayal of narratives sourced from his own life and from those around him. By investigating these sentimentalities with a deliberate and measured simplicity, Wong attempts to glorify the ordinary and reimagine the everyday. He received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013.
