Modern Bed Types
Platform Beds
Constructed of four simple legs and a slatted platform, platform bed frames are some of the simplest modern bed frames available. These minimalist beds are often made of solid wood, designed to be as sturdy as their box-spring counterparts with half the mass. Platform beds are mid-century modern favorites for their simplicity, as their exposed legs fit right in with the exposed legs characteristic of other mid-century modern furniture.
Upholstered Beds
Next, a modern upholstered bed is a stylish yet comfortable choice, especially if you spend time reading or watching television in bed. Designed with a plush headboard, this type can be covered in a plethora of materials, including bouclé, cotton twill, leather, tweed, and more. Storage Beds
