Acclaimed British designer Matthew Hilton designed – and named – the Somme Bed (2023) for slow mornings and restful evenings. Inspired by the Celtic word for “tranquility,” Somme features a generously padded headboard, ideal for leaning, reading, and resting. Upholstered in tightly looped bouclé, it softens ambient sound with a soft, inviting feel. The French seams around its perimeter minimize bulk at the edges, keeping the upholstery taut with a defined silhouette while its low-profile frame keeps focus on the headboard. With Hilton’s balance of precision and warmth, it’s the perfect escape after a long day. Made in China.
