American designer Shane Schneck designed his Tamoto Bed (2022) for HAY as an easy-to-assemble flatpacked design that it can be easily integrated into any modern lifestyle. Meaning “sleeve” in Japanese, Tamoto features a folded fabric headboard inspired by the draping of kimono sleeves. Schneck’s design ethos is to create simple yet innovative products that challenge industry standards, an approach that’s earned him iF, Red Dot and Wallpaper awards. Made in China.
