Decades of design
Thom Dalmas and Bretaigne Walliser founded the design studio TBo with a taste for “unusual compositions” and a knack for creating the “extraordinary out of ordinary things.” Their kind of challenge? Turning a 1974 home – complete with an ’80s addition – into a cohesive space befitting life with two children. They framed the views, shaped the home with light, and preserved the character of decades-old Saltillo tile and Douglas fir. Here, our new arrivals, a mix of eras and silhouettes themselves, settle into frame as if they’d always been there.

Like a full moon
Jasper Morrison – a master of making the familiar feel new – turns the idea on its head with the Superloon Floor Lamp. Here, he takes Edge Lighting, which sends light sideways through a flat disc, and gives it a familiar form: a softly glowing moon. Unlike its celestial inspiration, Superloon’s disc pivots to direct light exactly where you want it.
Table talk
A curlicue handle. An unexpected flourish. A detail that deserves a second look. Sophie Lou Jacobsen adds delight to the everyday with charming tableware crafted from durable borosilicate glass. Her new Belle Époque-style shapes nod to the elegance of European continental breakfast spreads.
