Details

Design greats Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen first met in 1936 at Cranbrook Academy, where they collaborated on many projects, including a collection that won first prize at the Museum of Modern Art’s "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" exhibition in 1941. One of the chairs in that collection was the Organic Chair (1940), a small reading chair with a beautifully upholstered, biomorphically shaped shell. Now available in limited-edition fabrics, only at DWR in the U.S. Made in Poland.
