Most appealing shape
The Super Elliptical Table (1968) takes its name from the super ellipse, a shape that merges oval and rectangle and came to be seen by the designers as the most visually pleasing shape for any number of applications. Seating six people, it has polished chrome legs and an easily cleaned white laminate top. This table is appropriate for use as a home dining table or an office conference or cafeteria table. Original design and licensed manufacture by Fritz Hansen. Made in Poland.

Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen began training as a mason before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he won a silver medal for a chair that was exhibited at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs. Jacobsen’s work remains appealing and fresh today, combining free-form shapes with the traditional attributes of Scandinavian design, material and structural integrity.
