Designed in the 1953 by architect Philip Johnson and lighting designer Richard Kelly, this groundbreaking lamp was created to solve a modern problem: how to light a glass-walled home without reflections. Originally installed in Johnson's celebrated Glass House, it cast a soft, indirect glow that defined a new standard of atmosphere – and function. Now reissued for the first time since 1967 by BassamFellows and exclusive to DWR, this timeless lamp returns, unchanged in form, unmatched in elegance. Assembled in the USA with globally sourced materials.
  • Designed to eliminate glare and nighttime reflections in glass-walled interiors.
  • Directs light upwards into a coned top, which then reflects the light down and out for an ambient glow.
  • Faithfully reproduced by BassamFellows in partnership with the Glass House, preserving the original lamp's dimensions and intent.
  • Exclusive to DWR.
