Poul Henningsen's legacy in Danish lighting design is so significant, simply "PH" suffices. His 1961 PH Hat Wall Lamp represents a thoughtful departure from his renowned three-shade system, conceived specifically for intimate residential spaces. This elegantly simple fixture features a distinctive hat-shaped shade with rose-colored interior that casts exceptionally soft, pleasant light—perfect for bedrooms, foyers, stairways, and passageways. Originally produced in two sizes, today's version maintains Henningsen's commitment to glare-free illumination while offering understated architectural presence that has distinguished discerning homes for over six decades. Bulb (not included): 1x10W E12. Made in Denmark.

Poul Henningsen

Trained as an architect, Poul Henningsen is best known for a series of lighting fixtures that resulted from his fascination with the then-new technology of the electric light bulb. In 1925, one of these fixtures won first prize for lighting at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in Paris. The next year it was put into production by Louis Poulsen & Co.
