Details
Designed by Ejner Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen, the Silk Lantern Wall Lamp (1951) interprets traditional Japanese lanterns in the language of Danish modernism. Shown at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition but never produced, it is now available from GUBI. The minimalist design has a calming presence, and the materials show why: silk diffuses the light, wood warms the shape, and metal gives it structure. Bulb (not included): Max 6W LED. Made in China.
