A beautiful design that stands up to daily use, the Copenhague Deux 250 Coffee Table is part of a furniture series created for the University of Copenhagen. The school’s requirements included functionality, durability, ease of cleaning, and a welcoming expression. Designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec responded with a light, uncluttered piece topped with a nanotechnology-derived laminate tabletop. This enhancement provides an ultra-matte soft surface that repels smudges from fingerprints and is easy to clean.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

The brothers Bourouellec opened their joint Paris-based design studio in 1999. Being brothers in addition to business partners allows them to bounce ideas off each other, trusting that difference of opinion will spur creativity. Their products range from furniture, lighting and rugs to porcelain dishware, ceramic tile and jewelry, even window blinds and a TV.
