When Gabriel Tan met Maria Adelina – the last-known weaver in the furniture-producing town of Paços de Ferreira, Portugal – he was instantly inspired by her passion for her craft. A 60-year-old woman with the enthusiasm and optimism of a young artist, she thrives on her thirst to learn and continue to perfect her skills. In a special collaboration, the two of them created The Weaver’s Collection (2022) to showcase Adelina’s craft. Please note: As a handcrafted product, each stool is unique. The natural qualities of wood can result in variations in color tone, wood grain, and the presence of medullary rays or knots. Made in Portugal.
  • Solid wood frame.
  • Handwoven paper cord seat.
  • Robust frame highlights the quality of the weaving.
  • Simple silhouette celebrates the intrinsic quality of the materials and craftsmanship.
  • The Table Stool is stackable (the Counter Stool is not).
