Details
An evolution of the PK25, the PK4™ Lounge Chair (1952) experiments with the same materials – steel and flag halyard roping – but using a frame crafted from seven tubular steel pieces welded into a unified frame. The PK4 embodies Danish designer Poul Kjærholm’s penchant for creating a light, minimalist, yet artistic expression using common industrial materials. This modern, relaxed, and thoroughly comfortable lounge chair integrates easily into any room while adding an elegant, sculptural presence. Made in Denmark.

Poul Kjærholm
Poul Kjærholm’s pieces are sculptures in themselves, but with an understated, subtle quality that makes them ideally suited for accompanying art. Apprenticed as a cabinetmaker but drawn to the potential of steel, Kjærholm brought craftsmanship and industrial materials together in the design of his PK series of furniture.
