Luteca approaches modern Mexican design by reinterpreting its foundational forms through natural materials and craft tradition. The Miguelito Outdoor Lounge Chair dates to the 1940s and the work of designer Michael van Beuren, a New York native who trained under Josef Albers and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. His move to Mexico in 1937 saw him apply modernist principles to the country's vernacular forms – like this chair’s sculptural wooden ribs tempered by material warmth. Made in Portugal.
