Hello, home —
Can a doormat make you feel peaceful as you walk across it? The designer of the Sand Mat would like to think so. Inspired by sand raked to look like ripples in water, this durable and earth-friendly mat is made of recycled plastic.
Details
Norwegian designer Kristine Five Melvær's Sand Mat (2018) features a richly textured, circular pattern inspired by raked sand in Japanese gardens. Highly absorbent and durable, Sand is suitable for use indoors and out with a rubber backing that prevents slippage and protects floors from moisture.
