About the Studio
The Studio is located on King Street East in Old Town, the historic center of Toronto and just two blocks from St. Lawrence Market, one of the most renowned food markets in the world. Occupying a two-level space, the Studio is punctuated by twin staircases and two dramatic Light Clouds of 150 light fixtures billowing overhead. Furniture and accessories are arranged on both levels into 27 fully styled “rooms” to help you envision how pieces may work in your own bedroom, dining room or living room. Two eye-catching Swatch Walls, themselves pieces of art, show 300 fabric and leather samples. More than 100 dining chairs are available for test drives, a representation of the largest assortment of modern chairs in the world. Café solutions for home and small business, outdoor collections and DWR’s full assortment of in-stock and ready-to-ship task chairs complete the display space. Proprietor Soha Shayesteh oversees the Toronto Studio with his friendly and knowledgeable sales associates – who are eager to provide the rich DWR customer experience of complimentary design consultations, in-home visits and 3-D room renderings. A private showroom is available for customers to meet with sales associates or their interior designers.
Streetcar: The King Street line passes in front of the Studio and connects to other branches.
Highway: Don Valley Parkway, Gardiner Expressway and Lake Shore Boulevard.

7PM Panel discussion
Join us for a conversation between Azure Executive Editor Elizabeth Pagliacolo and the designers of Egg Collective.
Brooklyn-based Egg Collective, named for an object with a naturally occurring, perfect structure, creates gracefully formed objects of their own. Founded in 2011 by Stephanie Beamer, Crystal Ellis and Hillary Petrie, Egg Collective is unique in how the three designers meld their individual areas of expertise – architecture, art and woodworking – to create sculptural, heirloom-quality furniture that evokes their own personal histories and memories of family and friends.
In this conversation with Azure Executive Editor Elizabeth Pagliacolo, Egg Collective will talk about their creative process, their ongoing relationship with Design Within Reach and the growing list of products they have designed exclusively for DWR, including the new Emmy Sofa.
