In celebration of the “feeding the planet” overall theme of the Milan World’s Fair Expo 2015, George Beylerian curated the De Gustibus Collection, an assortment of dining-related objects by the best Italian designers of the past 50 years. The collection’s name is a nod toward the Latin maxim De gustibus non est disputandum, which means, “In matters of taste, there can be no disputes.” The ingenious Icicle Ice Bucket (2015) from industrial designer Rodolfo Dordoni turns the idea of a traditional ice bucket on its head, prolonging the melting of ice by keeping it separate from the accumulating water below. Made in China.
