Vipp Laundry Bin
Price $599.00
The Vipp Laundry Bin (2008) is stylish enough to be left out in the open, embodying all the characteristics of the Vipp line of household products: handmade attention to detail, the highest quality components available and a form dictated by its essential function. The Laundry Bin has a perforated top for ventilation and a simple lever to open and close the lid. A removable, machine-washable inner liner makes it easy to transport clothes from bin to washer. If even that seems like too much lifting, hidden casters on the underside let it roll easily from room to room. Vipp was launched in 1938 when Holger Nielsen designed and manufactured a garbage bin for his wife’s hair salon. Since then, the business has been taken over and expanded by Nielsen’s daughter, Jette Egelund. The Vipp logo is engraved on the stainless steel handle, verifying its authenticity. Made in Denmark.

Vipp Trash Bin, Extra Small
Price $249.00
The Vipp story begins in 1939, when Holger Nielsen designed and manufactured a foot-pedal garbage bin for his wife’s hair salon. Nielsen’s keen sense of aesthetics and quality were quickly recognized and requests for these eminently useful Bins began pouring in. Today, the company is run by his daughter, but little else has changed. Vipp still manufactures its pedal bins in Denmark and the materials are the same: stainless steel and rubber. Each Vipp bin consists of up to 42 components and is hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen. One employee can assemble six bins per hour – ensuring quality that lasts. “Good design never goes out of fashion,” said Nielsen and his Vipp Bins are no exception. Available in a range of sizes and assortment of colors, there’s a Vipp Bin for every bathroom, kitchen, workspace or living space. A removable inner bin makes changing out the bags easy and a roll of biodegradable liners is included.
Note: Yellow is Vipp's 2009 limited-edition color. It was inspired by yellow taxicabs in NYC, and after 2009 this color will be as impossible to get as a yellow cab on a rainy day in NYC.
