John Caldwell created his Silver Dining Collection (1999) with the generous proportions normally reserved for indoor furniture. These commercial quality pieces are crafted out of teak that's kiln-dried and left unfinished for a low-maintenance, moisture resistant surface that will patina into a silvery color over time. The wood Caldwell uses is harvested from managed plantations in order to promote the renewal of this valuable resource. The dining tables are built with leveling glides for uneven surfaces. A removable 1.5" plug allows an umbrella to be inserted through the table. When the collection was introduced in 1999, it was honored with the Pinnacle Award, presented by the American Society of Furniture Designers. Made in U.S.A.
