Alexander Girard was the director of design for Herman Miller’s textile division from 1952 to 1973. He was asked to add an element of “aesthetic functionalism” to Herman Miller’s first open-plan office system, called Action Office. He responded with more than 40 images for Environmental Enrichment Panels (1972), which are now available as quality, high-resolution posters on 100% cotton paper with optional frames in white, black, or natural maple.
