Jonathan Muecke doesn't disguise his materials. The Muecke Lounge Chair (2026) is built from cylindrical wood dowels that erase the distinction between face and edge grain, putting end grain openly on view. Where the rounded elements meet, a floating tenon holds the connection – joinery developed through an extensive series of hand-built prototypes. Repetition is the organizing principle; the beauty lies in proportion, construction, and the inherent qualities of the wood. Made in Poland.
