Italian designer Piero Lissoni’s Matic Sofa (2020) is a precisely engineered platform for relaxation or conversation. The architectural steel frame supports low, linear seats with adjustable backrests that can be bent into different positions thanks to an innovative internal mechanism. The sofa embodies Lissoni’s highly meticulous approach to design, which he describes as “clean and more-or-less silent.” Whether shaped for lounging or socializing, Matic’s harmonious combination of elements brings a versatile sophistication to living.
