Designed by Isabella Hernandez, Berea Class of 2022, Bell Patch Placemats (2021) were inspired by the college’s commitment to mutual learning and service to Appalachian communities and students. It’s made using traditional quilting techniques and celebrates quilting as a powerful community-building activity. Isabella gave each student weaver the freedom to choose the overall composition of each placemat by re-arranging the patterns and colors. Full proceeds from all sales benefit Berea College. Handwash only.
