The undulating maple veneer of Frank Gehry’s Hat Trick Armchair (1990) for Knoll captures the emotion and expression central to his designs. A sculptural marvel inspired by the surprising strength of apple crates, its ribbon-like laminated strips appear sturdy yet light. Thermo-set assembly glue provides both structural rigidity and flexibility. The chair back flexes for added support and armrests provide additional comfort. Hat Trick evokes a sense of joy and beauty. Its dancing curves in playful rebellion against the traditional lines of modern furniture. Made in the U.S.A.
