Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec founded their Paris-based design firm in 1999, where they design architectural projects, large-scale art installations, furniture, rugs, tableware and home accessories. Their work has been exhibited worldwide, from MoMA in New York to Centre Pompidou in Paris to Tel Aviv Museum of Art. In collaboration with the Danish design collective HAY, the brothers designed the Copenhague 90 Desk (2013), which is part of a furniture series created for the University of Copenhagen. The school’s requirements included functionality, durability, ease of cleaning and a welcoming expression. The designers responded with a space-saving solution that has a strong and independent appearance that embraces both public and private environments. CPH 90 is topped with new nanotech linoleum featuring a soft-touch ultra-matte finish that’s resistant to fingerprints and easy to clean. Simple assembly required. Made in Denmark.
