Designed by Giulio Lazzotti
For more than 30 years, Giulio Lazzotti has maintained a diverse practice encompassing architecture, interior design and furniture design. He received the Torre Guinigi prize for his design for the historical center of Pietrasanta, Italy, and he is internationally recognized for his work in marble – so much so that he often teaches at the Academy of Art in Carrara, Italy (home to the famous white Carrara marble quarries). When he designed our Quovis Collection, developed with an Italian restaurant equipment manufacturer, he set the standard for quality stainless steel utility furniture. The Quovis Standing-Height Table (2001) is a comfortable height for working standing up or sitting on a barstool. The table is designed with a sound-dampening solid substrate to prevent the rattling and clanging of lesser-quality steel tables. These generously proportioned pieces are easy to clean and maintain, will not rust and are constructed to endure years of use. Able to withstand the corrosive action of various food and chemical acids, they suit a high-traffic café or kitchen, darkroom or workspace. The Standing-Height Table is equipped with lockable casters. Assembly required. Made in Italy.
ITALY (1942)
The name of the town where Giulio Lazzotti lives and works, Pietrasanta, can be alternately translated as Saint Peter or “holy stone,” the latter being wholly appropriate for a designer and architect whose work in marble, metal and wood takes on a serene, sculptural presence. Lazzotti was educated at the prestigious University of Florence, where he later returned to teach architecture. ...
