Modern design for every season
GUBI AT DWR
Freedom in form
“No one sits in the same way all the time,” designer Tobia Scarpa said in conversation with GUBI CEO Marie Kristine Schmidt. Alongside his longtime creative partner Afra, he designed the Elogio Sofa in 1974 to break the rigid living room. “We wanted to introduce a system that could evolve alongside life in the home.” Elogio responds accordingly: Cushions stack, elongate, or drape however the moment demands.
LOUIS POULSEN AT DWR
Up to the task
GamFratesi’s Yuh Table Lamp is inspired by Arne Jacobsen’s work for Louis Poulsen. “It is extremely sculptural, but also very geometric,” notes GamFratesi. It’s flexible, too – the shade moves vertically along the stem to provide direct or ambient light.
