Designed by Sanaa for Alessi
Tokyo-based architectural firm Sanaa was established in 1995 by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. Since then, it’s won multiple awards for its international work in urban planning, interior design, exhibition installations and industrial design, including the coveted Pritzker Prize. Fruit Basket Teaware (2007) is the result of Sanaa’s participation in the Tea & Coffee Towers exhibition at La Triennale di Milano in 2003, which saw 22 architects compete for the first time in the arena of industrial design, with the objective of creating modern teaware and coffeeware. Fruit Basket is evocative of fruit, with slender stem-like handles protruding from removable lids. Wash by hand. Made in Italy.
Mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel.
