Designed by GamFratesi for Louis Poulsen Lighting
Named after its principal designers, Copenhagen-based GamFratesi was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The two get their creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. In designing their Yuh Collection (2017), GamFratesi was actually inspired by Arne Jacobsen: “We are very inspired by the AJ Lamp. There is something very striking about its geometry,” explains Gam. “It is angled, but the shade is designed in such a way that one part of it is always aligned with the floor in one way or another. It is extremely sculptural, but also very geometric.” Yuh – a subtle play off “you” intended to reflect its personable, flexible nature – rotates, rises and drops as desired, providing both direct glare-free downward light and upward ambient light. Suitable for residential and commercial spaces. Bulb (included): 10W LED array. Made in Denmark.
Die-cast aluminum shade and base; extruded aluminum stem.
