Greg Benson and Jeff Taly believe that “using green products should not mean that you have to sacrifice anything; it should be better in every way than its non-eco-friendly counterpart.” This philosophy has informed their path from designing skateboard parks to outdoor furniture. Using the same materials that proved virtually indestructible when skated upon, they created the Adirondack Collection (2008). “Our first chairs looked a lot like our skate ramps,” says Benson, but they continued to refine their designs. These pieces are made of recycled plastic reclaimed from post-consumer goods like milk jugs, which can be recycled again if necessary. Since Loll was founded in 2006, its use of recycled materials has kept millions of milk jugs out of landfills. The fade-resistant, waterproof, maintenance-free Adirondack Collection is made to last for years. Each piece ships flat to save on packing materials; simple assembly required (Allen wrench included). Made in U.S.A.
100% recycled post-consumer or post-commercial (depending on color) high-density polyethylene; high-grade stainless steel fasteners.
Founded in 2005 by Greg Benson and Jeff Taly, Loll Designs is built on the philosophy that an eco-friendly product "should be better in every way than its non-eco-friendly counterpart." Using 100% recycled high-density polyethylene, Loll's outdoor furniture collections embody this maxim. Designed and made in Duluth, Minnesota, all Loll products are sourced domestically and are 100% recyclable.
Benson and Taly didn't set out initially to create brilliant and sustainable outdoor furniture their first endeavor was the creation of skateboard parks. Loll's history really begins back in 1997 when Benson and Taly created TrueRide, a design and build contractor specializing in custom municipal skate parks. They created over 400 parks in 10 years, using this incredibly durable, eco-friendly material. In keeping with their goals of minimizing waste, they were looking for something to do with the excess material from the parks and Loll Designs was born. Read more >
