The Watermelon Picnic Poster is as much a part of the Herman Miller canon as the Eames Lounge Chair. It was the second of 20 posters designed by in-house graphic designer Stephen Frykholm for the company’s annual employee picnic. Frykholm had a 45-year career at the company, and his series of Picnic Posters is now included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and many other museums worldwide.
