Gio Ponti received an architecture degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1921. Following years of notable work throughout Italy, he was elected to design the Pirelli Tower, perhaps his crowning achievement. Throughout his prolific career, Ponti was also know for his design of furniture, especially chairs. A minimal piece with a refined, clear form, his lightweight yet strong Leggera Chair (1952) effortlessly adapts to different spaces, meeting a broad range of needs. It’s built for exceptional comfort and durability, with an attractive solid ash frame and woven paper cord seat. Made in Italy.
