An internationally renowned artist best known for her unique ceramic bowls, which are found in museum collections around the globe, Alev Ebuzziya also has a passion for glass and textiles. For over three decades, she’s occupied a large loft in Paris that doubles as her home and studio. Her work exudes simplicity and tranquility without sacrificing utility. “I wanted to make something to be used everyday – objects shouldn’t just sit around on the sideboard,” the designer explains. Her sleek Midnight Bowl (2015), named in part for its muted dark hue, deftly marries a crisp rim with flowing sides that gently curve into a soft base, lending a subtle sense of airiness. Wash by hand only. Made in Turkey.
