Now made with 100% recycled post-consumer plastic, the About A Chair (2009), designed by Hee Welling for HAY, began with a desire to tell a story about a chair and quickly became one of the bestselling collections in Scandinavia. With its gently curved, comfortable seat and height-adjustable caster base, the AAC 252 Task Armchair offers pleasing proportions and a quietly elegant aesthetic. Made in Mexico.

Hee Welling
The son of a cabinetmaker, Hee Welling grew up in his father’s shop, right next to the family home in Denmark. Establishing his own studio in 2003, Welling got his first big break with the Hee Chair from HAY, being made entirely of metal, was quite a departure from the cabinetmaking shop. He went on to design one of Scandinavia's most popular and versatile chairs for HAY, the About A Chair.
